Home Remedies for Common Illness

Home Remedies are the best remedies to cure natural causes without any side effects. Your kitchen has almost all the medicines you would possibly need to deal with common illness. Here is a collection of some of the natural home remedies for common illness.
Use lemon to treat common cold: Vitamin C-rich lemon juice increases body resistance, decreases toxicity and reduces the duration of the illness. Dilute a lemon in a glass of warm water and one teaspoon of honey or sugar; take this twice or thrice daily.

Use turmeric for stuffy nose: Tie some turmeric in a clean cloth and light it and inhale that fumes.

Lemon slices for dark under arms: After a shower rub lemon slices on your armpits to get rid of that dark color.

Milk with a spoon of gee for constipation: One glass of warm milk with a teaspoon of ghee should be taken every night for chronic constipation. It smooth-en the intestinal walls and make the passage smooth.

Green gram powder for dandruff: A valuable prescription for removal of dandruff is the use of green gram powder. The hair should be washed twice a week with two tablespoons of this powder mixed with half a cup of curd.

Honey and cinnamon powder for acne: Make a paste by mixing honey and cinnamon powder. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm water. Repeat for two weeks.

Garlic for tooth ache: Placing a clove of garlic with little rock salt on the affected tooth helps relieve or even cure the pain.

White vinegar for fleas: The next time you give your dog a bath, add white vinegar to the mix to prevent flea infestations.

Ice for toe pain: Apply ice to affected parts of the toe for 10 minutes every day to alleviate pain.

Peppermint Tea for bloating: Sip a cup of peppermint tea to ease symptoms of bloating, as peppermint helps relax the muscles and allows painful digestive gas to pass.
